With a relevant share in the Latin American market, the Group Arjowiggins started its activities in Brazil in 1977 in an association with the Papel Simão group, part of the Salto S/A Pulp and Paper Industry, a mill that started its activities in 1889. Currently, in addition to the 98,000 square meter mill in Salto (SP), they have another mill in Argentina with 45,000 square meters, commercial offices in Colombia and Mexico and representatives in the other Latin America countries.

Since 1977, Arjowiggins supplies all the needs for issuing paper-money at the Casa da Moeda do Brasil (Brazil Mint). The mill also manufactures safety paper and special paper.
