Ibema's flight owes its origins to the opening in the 50s, when Januário de Nápoli and his sons founded Ibema Indústria Brasileira de Madeiras S/A about 40 kilometers from Cascavel. This sawmill is responsible for the growth of one of the first re-forestry of auraucaria and pine trees in the state of Paraná.

Apart unit Cascavel, responsible for the writing and printing paper production, Ibema started focusing its most important activities in another unit located in the Turvo city, responsible for the Card Paper production, which is today the company's most important product as a whole.
Social Responsability:
This Awareness can be noticed in many ways, such as the purchase of its first rural lot, close to the first plant of the company, and the social-cultural undertakings developed by the company. Ibema supports Foundation Ibema, in the municipality of Turvo, where the company has one of its units. The foundation offers medical, nursing and dentistry assistance to employees and their families. The foundation also has signed agreements with hospitals in the region, to give health assistance in several specialties, home care, and agreements with drugstores, clinics and laboratory services in addition to free transportation for patients who need to be treated in Turvo and Guarapuava. The foundation keeps a 24 hour clinic for labor medicine assistance. In an average, this staff offers 1,800 consultations monthly.
