Klabin's a hundred-year history began in São Paulo in 1899, when the Klabin and Lafer families started Klabin Irmãos & Cia, a company for import and sales of office and typography supplies. Business prospered and, four years later, the company stepped into its successful segment: the paper industry. It started manufacturing printing sheets by leasing a small plant.

Klabin operates in a variety of market segments related to forest products, market pulp, paper and paper products. Its line of products comprises paper, folding boxboard for packaging, corrugated cardboard boxes and industrial bags in addition to logs. Klabin is the only manufacturer of folding boxboard for packaging liquids in all Latin America.

Social Responsability:
One of the first Brazilian enterprises to adopt a Sustainable Development policy, Klabin has always paid attention to the dissemination of social responsibility practices in all its operating units. From encouraging the employees to participate in volunteer work to donations, the social actions of the company are spread across several different fields such as Health, Social Services, Culture and Technical and Environmental Education.
